Azerbaijan 5 Manat

The 5-manat note belongs to the upgraded 'Independent Azerbaijan' series introduced by the CBAR, retaining the 'Literature and Writings' design concept while incorporating the latest generation of security elements. The obverse shows a stack of historic books, a fragment of the Azerbaijani national anthem, modern alphabet characters, and the facade of the Nizami Museum of Azerbaijani Literature in Baku, whose statues represent six canonical literary figures including Muhammad Fuzuli and Khurshidbanu Natavan. The reverse presents a stylised map illustrating Azerbaijan's Euro-Atlantic integration, set against the ancient Gobustan rock petroglyphs and the Orkhon-Yenisei runic inscriptions.
