The obverse features the National Martyrs' Monument at Savar—a pivotal independence war memorial—flanked by shapla flowers (Bangladesh's national flower), with denomination in optically variable ink (OVI). The reverse displays the impressive Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban designed by architect Louis Kahn.
