The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel, built with Chinese technical and financial assistance from China Communications Construction Company, stretches approximately 3.32 kilometers and will ultimately link Chittagong to Cox's Bazar. The commemorative 50 Taka note was issued to mark this achievement, acknowledging both the engineering feat and its economic significance for Bangladesh's continued development.
