Released on 29 December 2022, one day after the Constitution jubilee note, this commemorative 50-taka note (P-72) marks the inauguration of the Dhaka Metro Rail (MRT Line-6), Bangladesh's first urban rapid transit system and a landmark infrastructure achievement. The obverse features Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed alongside a depiction of the new red, white, and green metro rail cars. The reverse illustrates the metro line running on its elevated tracks, symbolising modernisation and sustainable urban transport.
