50 Taka
Bangladesh · Bangladesh Bank
The 2021-dated 50 Taka note (P-56Ab) is a standard circulation banknote issued by Bangladesh Bank bearing the signature of Governor Fazle Kabir. It was released alongside a commemorative variant (P-69) to mark the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh's independence in 2021 — the 50th anniversary of the Liberation War of 1971. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the 'Father of the Nation' and Bangladesh's first president, appears on the obverse as on all recent 50 Taka issues. The reverse reproduces a work by Zainul Abedin (1914–1976), widely revered as the founding father of Bangladeshi art.
