Bangladesh Bank issued redesigned 50 taka notes on December 15, 2019, maintaining the same core design as the 2011 version but introducing vibrant orange, brown, and fluorescent yellow-green colors for enhanced visual distinction. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of Bangladesh, appears prominently on the obverse at left with the National Martyrs' Monument depicted at center—symbols of the nation's independence struggle. The reverse features agricultural imagery: men ploughing fields with oxen, rendered in the artistic style of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin's famous painting 'Ploughing,' emphasizing Bangladesh's agrarian foundation. The note includes holographic security features and tactile elements for visually impaired users.
