The 500 Taka note is a standard circulation issue from Bangladesh Bank dominated by green and measuring 152 x 65 mm. The obverse prominently displays the Central Shaheed Minar — the national monument to those who died in the 1952 Bengali Language Movement — flanked by the blooming Shapla (water lily), Bangladesh's national flower. The reverse features the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and the note carries colour-shifting ink on the denomination numeral that shifts from green to blue when tilted.
