Barbados 100 Dollars

The Central Bank of Barbados issued the $100 note in December 2022, honoring Sir Grantley Adams (1898–1971), Barbados's first Premier and one of the nation's 10 National Heroes. Adams was instrumental in the social revolution that transformed Barbados and guided the nation's path toward independence and prosperity. The reverse features Grantley Adams International Airport in Christ Church, the nation's primary gateway and a lasting monument to his leadership. The note includes the De La Rue SPOTLIGHT™ holographic stripe with sophisticated security elements. The hologram displays dolphins, broken tridents, Pride of Barbados flowers, and the numeral '100.' A square-shaped tactile emboss provides accessibility for visually impaired users. Watermarks featuring Adams's image add further security.
