Issued July 27, 1998, this 100 KM Republika Srpska variant commemorates Petar Kočić, a pivotal figure in Bosnian Serb literature and nationalism who fought for Bosnian autonomy in the early 20th century. Kočić's life was cut short at age 39 during World War I, but his literary and political legacy profoundly influenced the region. The 2012 redesign introduced Motion™ security featuring a 4mm windowed security thread with a quill that appears to move when tilted. The denomination number shifts from dark brown to greenish-gold through optically variable ink technology. The note incorporates watermark imagery, microprinting, and enhanced materials to prevent counterfeiting.
