The 2022 10 Pula polymer note (P-35) is the third emission in Botswana's green polymer series, first introduced in 2018 as the country's inaugural polymer banknote. Printed on Safeguard® polymer substrate, the note retains the established green colour and dimensions of its predecessors while updating the presidential portrait to Masisi, who assumed office in 2018. The note incorporates a bio-guard antimicrobial substance in the ultra-post-print varnish, a feature added in response to public-health awareness during the COVID-19 era. It was released for circulation on 22 February 2021, with the 2022 date reflecting a later print run.
