30.000 Riels
Cambodia · National Bank of Cambodia
Cambodia issued this 30,000-riel commemorative note on 23 October 2021 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Paris Peace Agreements (signed 23 October 1991), which ended more than two decades of civil war and foreign occupation. The denomination of 30,000 riels was specifically chosen to echo the number 30, linking the face value directly to the anniversary. A second theme on the note commemorates the return of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk to Cambodia on 14 November 1991. The note is printed on a Durasafe hybrid polymer substrate and is the only Cambodian note of this denomination.
