25 Dollars
Canada · Bank of Canada
The Canada 25 Dollar 2022 is a special numismatic (collector) banknote, a denomination historically reserved for royal commemoratives — the only previous issue being the 1935 Silver Jubilee note for King George V. The 2022 edition was produced to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, who had appeared on Canadian currency throughout her reign. The note was not issued for general circulation and was produced in limited quantities for the collector market. Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 8 September 2022, making this commemorative issue particularly significant as one of the final Canadian numismatic tributes during her lifetime.
