70 Dollars
Cayman Islands · Cayman Islands Monetary Authority
The $70 denomination was chosen specifically to reflect Queen Elizabeth II's 70-year reign, making it the world's first $70 banknote and an unusual legal-tender commemorative. CIMA issued the note in collaboration with De La Rue to honour the one-year anniversary of the Queen's passing (8 September 2022) and to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee. Only 10,000 notes were produced, making them exclusive collector's pieces that do not enter general circulation. The note was introduced on 12 October 2023.
