Cook Islands 3 Dollars

The Cook Islands $3 note was redesigned and issued in August 2021 to celebrate the 56th anniversary of Cook Islands Constitution Day (4 August 1965), which marked the islands' self-governance in free association with New Zealand. The $3 denomination is unique to the Cook Islands and co-circulates with the New Zealand dollar. It is printed on De La Rue's SAFEGUARD polymer substrate. The note was formally launched on 3 August 2021 during Constitution Week celebrations.
