The Cuban 100 Pesos is a standard circulation note of the Banco Central de Cuba, measuring 149 x 70 mm. The obverse depicts Carlos Manuel de Céspedes (1819-1874), the Cuban lawyer and landowner who freed his enslaved workers and launched the Ten Years' War against Spanish colonial rule in 1868. The 2023 issue maintained the established design but was produced using flat printing without high-relief intaglio, representing a production adaptation compared to earlier printings.
