Cuba 500 Pesos

The 500 Pesos note, released in 2024, celebrates Ignacio Agramonte, a key military commander during Cuba's Ten Years' War and author of the constitution adopted at Guáimaro. The banknote is printed on cotton fiber paper in a predominant green color. The 2024 issue includes notes printed by both Impresos de Seguridad in Havana and Goznak in Russia, differentiated by their series markings (IG and IGA respectively). The segmented security thread is microprinted with 'BCC 500' and is readable from both sides, while three green intaglio dots near the upper right corner enable identification by the visually impaired.
