Czechia 5.000 Korun Českých

The 2023 edition of the CZK 5,000 banknote is the highest denomination in Czech circulation, issued because changes to banknote printing technology at the State Printing Office necessitated a new production run. The design is identical to the 2009 version — featuring T.G. Masaryk on the obverse — but the 2023 printing incorporates covert security elements not visible to the naked eye, made possible by updated equipment. The only visible differences from the 2009 note are the year of issue (2023) and the governor's signature.
