Issued on 6 December 2023 to mark the 40th anniversary of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (1983-2023), this EC$2 polymer note was printed by De La Rue and measures 132 x 65 mm. The obverse features West Indian cricket legend Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards wielding a cricket bat, alongside the ECCB headquarters building and a conch shell, while the reverse depicts coral, fish, sea turtles, and the map of the Lesser Antilles. The note represents a global first in currency design — combining reflective silver ink, gold iridescent ink, and holographic blue foil on the same banknote.
