Egypt's first polymer banknote, the 10 Pounds, was introduced by the Central Bank of Egypt in July 2022 and continued into 2023 circulation, marking the country's migration away from paper currency. The obverse showcases the Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque — a centrepiece of Egypt's New Administrative Capital — while the reverse displays the statue of female Pharaoh Hatshepsut, blending Islamic and ancient Egyptian heritage. The note incorporates a KINEGRAM COLORS patch from KURZ applied over a clear polymer window, exhibiting a Surface Relief 3D effect and a dynamic FLUX movement effect.
