The Reserve Bank of Fiji issued its 100-cent numismatic polymer banknote on 8 August 2023 to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dragon (2024). Produced by De La Rue on Safeguard® polymer substrate, it measures 145 × 70 mm. The reverse shows a stylized Chinese dragon surrounded by white and yellow clouds, accompanied by a red lantern and the Chinese character for 'dragon,' with the inscription 'Good luck in the year of the dragon.' The obverse features a red hibiscus flower, the Fijian coat of arms, and a color-shifting hibiscus security device. A holographic foil strip incorporates wave patterns, the numeral 100, a Fiji Banded Iguana, and coral motifs. Limited to 950,000 pieces.
