The Fiji 20 dollar note features the Kacau ni Gau (Fiji petrel), one of the world's rarest seabirds, endemic to Fiji and nesting on Gau Island. Issued January 2, 2026, this blue polymer note measures 146 × 67 mm and was printed by Crane Currency. The front also displays a Foa (Rotuman coconut scraper artefact), the Fijian coat of arms, and a traditional kava bowl.
The reverse features the Reserve Bank of Fiji headquarters building in Suva with flags. The banknote incorporates Crane Currency's MOTION SURFACE® micro-optic security stripe, transparent windows with G SWITCH™ color-shifting effects, and accessibility features for visually impaired users.
