Fiji · Reserve Bank of Fiji
The Reserve Bank of Fiji issued this $7 polymer commemorative note to celebrate Fiji's remarkable double medal performance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (held 2021): the men's Rugby Sevens team won gold for the second consecutive Olympics, while the Fijiana women's Rugby Sevens team won bronze. The unusual denomination of $7 directly references Rugby Sevens (7 players per side). A total of 2,000,000 notes were printed and released at face value.
