The 100 Dalasi note is a 2023 signature variety of the 2019 series, with the obverse featuring the majestic Black Crowned Crane (Balearica pavonina) — the centrepiece of this denomination — alongside the national coat of arms. The reverse depicts fishermen casting nets from a boat on the River Gambia, honouring the fishing industry central to the livelihoods of many Gambians. The African Crested Crane was a brand-new addition to Gambian currency in the 2019 series.
