The 20 Dalasi note is a 2023 signature variety of the design first introduced in August 2019. The obverse displays a pair of finches alongside the national coat of arms, continuing the series-wide theme of celebrating indigenous Gambian birdlife. The reverse depicts an agricultural harvesting machine, reflecting the country's farming sector which employs a large share of the Gambian population and underpins groundnut and cereal production.
