50 Dalasis
Gambia · Central Bank of The Gambia
The 50 Dalasi note is a 2023 signature variety of the design launched in 2019, when birds of prey replaced imagery on older issues. The obverse depicts an eagle soaring in flight with prey, with a second eagle perched on a rock — a powerful image representing freedom and the natural wealth of The Gambia. The reverse features the Wassu Stone Circles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating to the first millennium AD and one of The Gambia's most significant archaeological landmarks.
