The States of Guernsey introduced an updated 10 Pounds banknote on January 19, 2023 as part of the comprehensive security modernization of all Guernsey pound denominations. The primary security advancement for this denomination is the introduction of the IGNITE windowed security thread, which shifts dynamically from blue to green with a pulsing pattern that shows visible movement effects when the note is tilted in any direction. This represents a significant upgrade from previous security thread technology and provides an easily verifiable authentication feature for everyday users.
