Introduced on 19 January 2023 and printed by De La Rue, this updated £5 note retains the longstanding paper-substrate design but adds a new PUREIMAGE holographic windowed thread carrying three demetalized leopards from the Bailiwick coat of arms and the £5 denomination, which shift from dark to light when tilted. It was issued to enhance counterfeit resistance while keeping the iconic imagery of Guernsey's heritage sites. The note also carries the Euphrosyne Kendal lifeboat as a registration device and a camellia flower on the reverse alongside Fort Grey.
