Guyana 1.000 Dollars

First issued in 2019 as the highest denomination in regular circulation, the 1,000 dollar note showcases Guyana's national symbols and institutional pride. The Victoria Regia lily, the world's largest water lily native to the Amazon and found in Guyanese waters, represents the nation's natural heritage. The macaw represents the rich avian diversity of Guyana's rainforests. The 2024 security upgrade replaced RAPID® micro-optic with RAPID® Vision, a 6mm brown/green feature displaying a Jaguar with dynamic pulse effects, significantly enhancing counterfeiting prevention.
