10.000 Rupiah
The 10,000 Rupiah note from the 2022 Bank Indonesia series features Frans Kaisiepo, a Papuan national hero and political leader who championed Papua's integration into the Indonesian republic. The obverse displays his portrait alongside Indonesia's Garuda Pancasila coat of arms, a map, the Cempaka Hutan Kasar flower, and Asmat Papua traditional motifs reflecting indigenous cultural heritage. The reverse showcases the Tari Pakarena, a traditional masked fan dance from South Sulawesi, combined with Wakatobi National Park scenery and Cempaka Hutan Kasar flowers.
The banknote measures 135–136 mm × 65 mm in predominantly purple, orange, and pink colors. Issued on 17 August 2022, it bears the signatures of Governor Perry Warjiyo and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, printed on cotton fiber paper. The 2022 series incorporates advanced security features including Rapid HD® micro lenses and OVMI Spark® technology on larger denominations for enhanced anti-counterfeiting capabilities.
Security elements include a solid security thread, watermark of Frans Kaisiepo, and both overt ultraviolet fluorescence and covert phosphorescent technology throughout the design for comprehensive authentication protection.
