The 2,000,000-rial note — equivalent to 200 Tomans — is classified as an 'Iran Cheque', a bearer-instrument format used alongside regular banknotes to handle very large transactions driven by rial depreciation. Printed by Takab on paper measuring approximately 160 x 75 mm, it represents one of the largest denominations in Iran's circulation at the time of release. The watermark features a portrait of the Persian epic poet Ferdowsi alongside an electrotype denomination, and the security thread carries demetalized text reading '2000000'.
