The 10 Dinar note was released as part of Jordan's fifth banknote series in 2022, continuing the sequential introduction of all five denominations redesigned by Ammar Khammash. King Talal Ibn Abdullah (1909–1972) graces the obverse; his brief but significant reign (1951–1952) saw the promulgation of Jordan's landmark 1952 constitution, one of the most liberal in the Arab world. The obverse also references Qusayr Amra, an 8th-century Umayyad desert castle whose bath frescoes are a UNESCO World Heritage treasure. The reverse celebrates the Roman Amphitheater in Amman, a 6,000-seat 2nd-century AD monument that remains central to Jordanian civic life.
