The Central Bank of Jordan 5 Dinars banknote, issued in 2022 (1443H), honors King Abdullah I Ibn Hussain and features the Treasury of Petra (Al-Khazneh), one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the region. The front displays a portrait of King Abdullah with the rock-cut architecture of the Treasury against an orange, red, and brown color scheme. The reverse depicts a camel caravan flanking the pediment of the Treasury, complementing the archaeological theme and representing Jordan's cultural heritage and historical significance.

The note incorporates advanced security features reflecting modern banknote printing standards, including both solid and windowed security threads. The windowed security thread features demetalalized text reading "CBJ 5". A watermark of King Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein appears throughout the note, along with electrotype Arabic text for additional authentication. Registration devices in the form of crowns are positioned on both obverse and reverse, while an Optically Variable Ink (OVI) security patch enhances protection against counterfeiting.

The 5 Dinars denomination remains a standard circulation note in Jordan's currency system and reflects the Central Bank's commitment to security and artistic representation of the nation's heritage through numismatic design.
