The 50 Dinar note, the highest denomination in Jordan's fifth banknote series, carries particular symbolic weight: as the Hashemite Kingdom's custodian of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, Jordan's inclusion of the Temple Mount compound and the Dome of the Rock on its highest-value note is a direct affirmation of that custodial role. Issued in 2023 with a 2022 date, the note bears the signatures of Finance Minister Ezzedin Kanakrieh and Central Bank Governor Dr. Ziad Fariz. The purple 149 x 74 mm note was printed by De La Rue and completes the full fifth-series rollout.
