Originally issued May 31, 2019, and updated in 2024 with enhanced security and new signatures. The 100 shillings note features the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, commemorating Kenya's architectural heritage and economic achievements. Following the 2010 Constitutional requirement, the design features national monuments rather than individual portraits. The reverse depicts Kenya's agricultural sector through images of maize fields, tea plantations, and livestock herds. The 2024 version incorporates the Crystal effect security feature alongside updated signatures.
