The yellow 200 som note (dated 2023, circulated from 10 May 2023) was the first phase of the fifth series, and it portrays Alykul Osmonov (1915-1950), a celebrated Kyrgyz journalist and lyric poet, on the obverse. The reverse presents a sweeping panorama of Lake Issyk-Kul, one of the world's largest and deepest mountain lakes and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, accompanied by lines from Osmonov's poetry. The note measures 138 x 66 mm and bears the signature of National Bank Chairman Tolkunbek Abdygulov.
