The Lebanon 10,000 Livres note dated 2021 (P-92c) continues the Banque du Liban's geometric series introduced in 2012. The 16 squares on the obverse symbolize Lebanon's reconstruction and the front gates of the Central Bank building, while the 25 rectangles in the background represent the unity of Lebanon's 25 regions. The Martyrs' Monument on the reverse commemorates Lebanese nationalists who were executed by the Ottoman authorities during World War I, a central symbol of Lebanese identity and independence. The 2021 variant carries an updated security thread.
