The 100 Ringgit note showcases Malaysia's two most prominent natural wonders, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The obverse features the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong, while Mount Kinabalu in Kinabalu Park, Sabah (Southeast Asia's highest mountain) and the spectacular limestone pinnacle rock formations of Gunung Api Valley in Mulu National Park, Sarawak are prominently displayed. The fourth series was released in July 2012 as part of the 'Distinctively Malaysia' theme, celebrating the nation's biodiversity, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.
