The orange-dominant N$20 banknote (134 x 70 mm) honours Samuel Shafiishuna Daniel Nujoma, Namibia's founding president and leader of SWAPO who guided the country to independence in 1990. The 2022 date edition is part of the Bank of Namibia's upgraded banknote series, officially presented in February 2023. The lower denominations (N$10 and N$20) are the only notes in the current series to feature President Nujoma, while higher denominations carry Kaptein Hendrik Witbooi's image.
