Nigeria 200 Naira

The Central Bank of Nigeria unveiled the redesigned 200 Naira note on 23 November 2022, with circulation from 15 December 2022; the type continues in circulation alongside later prints through 2026. The note retains the portrait of Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Nigeria, on the obverse, while the redesign shifted the overall colour to a reddish hue to distinguish the denomination and refresh its security.

The reverse depicts agricultural produce and livestock together with the national coat of arms, reflecting Nigeria's agricultural economy. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized CBN inscription, an electrotype watermark of Ahmadu Bello, and microprinting.
