Paraguay 50.000 Guaraníes

The 50,000 Guaraníes note honours Agustín Pío Barrios (1885–1944), Paraguay's most celebrated classical guitarist and composer, widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists in history. The Banco Central del Paraguay introduced the Barrios design in 2008, replacing a previous soldier motif. The 2022 printing (Series K prefix, P-223 family) bears the signatures of Holger Insfrán and José Cantero Sienra. Its purple, peach, and green colour scheme reflects the cultural richness associated with Paraguayan folk artistry.
