The Philippine 1000 Piso polymer banknote, first issued in April 2022 and continuing through 2025, features two national symbols: the Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi) and the Sampaguita flower (Jasminum sambac). The Philippine eagle represents Filipino uniqueness, strength, power, love of freedom, and vision for the nation's future. The Sampaguita symbolizes purity, simplicity, humility, and strength. The reverse side features the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its exceptional coral reef ecosystem and marine biodiversity, along with the South Sea Pearl, representing the Philippines' maritime heritage.

Launched on April 6, 2022, this was the first polymer banknote issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and earned the IBNS Banknote of the Year 2022 award. It continues to circulate alongside the new First Philippine Polymer (FPP) series introduced in December 2024, representing a significant advancement in Philippine banknote technology and durability, with polymer notes lasting up to 7.5 years compared to 1.5 years for paper notes.
