The note depicts historical elements including the First Philippine Assembly in 1907 and General Douglas MacArthur's landing in Leyte. The reverse side showcases Taal Lake (also known as Bombón Lake) in Batangas province and the giant trevally fish (Caranx ignobilis), also known locally as maliputo. The 2023 version bears the signatures of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and BSP Governor Felipe Medalla.

This banknote represents the New Generation Currency series, an enhanced version of Philippine paper currency with improved security features and accessibility improvements for visually impaired users, including embossed tactile marks.
