The 50 Piso note belongs to the New Generation Currency (NGC) series introduced in 2010 by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The 2022 printing incorporates the redesigned BSP logo adopted across all NGC denominations from December 2022 onward, coinciding with updated presidential and gubernatorial signatures. The red cotton-paper note measures 160 x 66 mm and continues to serve as a standard circulation denomination recognising Sergio Osmeña, the fourth President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines.
