Dated 16 August 2021 and introduced into circulation on 9 May 2022, this turquoise SAFEGUARD polymer note completes Bank of Scotland's full conversion of its banknote series to polymer. The obverse bears the familiar portrait of Sir Walter Scott alongside the Bank of Scotland headquarters on The Mound in Edinburgh. The reverse honours Dr Flora Murray (1869-1923), the pioneering Scottish surgeon and suffragette who established one of the first military hospitals run by women during the First World War.
