Solomon Islands 50 Dollars

The upgraded $50 note was introduced into circulation on 28 December 2023 by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands, replacing the previous issue's Optiks security thread with a new Nexus 18mm wide micro-optic stripe. The obverse design conveys dynamic movement with sloping numerals, an eagle watermark, billowing abstract patterns inspired by shoaling fish, the Solomon Islands flag, and basket-weave designs evoking traditional craft. The reverse features montages of the islands' native biodiversity, including shells, lizards, snakes, iguanas, and fungi, celebrating the rich natural environment of the Solomon Islands.
