Switzerland 50 Franken / Francs / Franchi

The 50 Franken ninth series note, designed by Manuela Pfrunder and themed on Switzerland's wealth of experiences expressed through wind, features a hand holding a dandelion seed being carried by the wind on the obverse, with the Swiss Alps and a paraglider on the reverse. It was the first denomination of the ninth series to be issued, entering circulation on 12 April 2016, and won the IBNS Banknote of the Year and IACA Best New Banknote awards in 2016.
