The obverse of this note features the iconic Norias (waterwheels) of Hama on the Orontes River and the Nur al-Din Mosque, while the reverse displays the ornate ceiling of the Temple of Bel in Palmyra, one of antiquity's most celebrated sanctuaries. The 2021-dated printing continues the design introduced in 2009 and represents a routine reissue rather than a redesign. The note was printed by Goznak in Russia.
