10 Somoni
The 10 Somoni note is part of the National Bank of Tajikistan's current circulation series, which was substantially updated from 2017 onward to incorporate enhanced security features while retaining existing motifs. The 2022 print is a continuation of the updated series (designated P-24 series). Mir Said Ali Hamadoni (1314–1384 CE), also known as Shah Hamadan, was an Iranian-born scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic of the Kubrawiyya order who played a crucial role in spreading Islam in the Kashmir and Central Asia regions; he is revered in Tajikistan as a major cultural and spiritual figure. The note uses Louisenthal's Hybrid ADDVance substrate, combining paper with an ultra-fine polyester foil on each side for increased durability at this frequently circulated low denomination.
