Tonga 100 Pa'anga

The highest denomination in the 2023 series, the cherry-red 100 Pa'anga (150 x 70 mm) was introduced on 4 December 2023. Its reverse features Tonga's iconic Victorian-era Royal Palace in Nuku'alofa, built in 1867 and the enduring official residence of the King, underscoring the note's status as the flagship denomination. The 100 Pa'anga carries the most advanced security measure in the series: an 18 mm wide embedded micro-optic NEXUS stripe providing high-level protection against counterfeiting.
