The obverse features a portrait of King 'Ahoʻeitu Tupou VI against a background of traditional Tongan ornamental motifs, alongside the national coat of arms. The reverse depicts the Royal Palace in Nuku'alofa, the official royal residence, along with a commemorative medallion. The 2021-dated note (P-48Aa.2) is part of the coronation series first introduced in June 2015, with the 2021 date representing an updated printing of the same design. It measures 150 x 70 mm and is printed on polymer by De La Rue.
